How to Set Counting-up?
- If it is timing, press the UP/START button to stop it.
- Press and hold the UP/START and DOWN buttons at the same time to reset to 0.
- Press the UP/START button to start the counting-up.
How to Set Countdown Time?
- Hold the SET button until you see a number start flashing.
- Push the SET button until you get to the number you want to change.
- Press UP/START or DOWN to adjust that particular number.
- Keep hitting SET until the screen stops flashing. Press the UP/START button to start or pause the counting down.
-- You can choose 12 or 24-hour systems.
How to Set Clock?
- Hold the CLOCK button until you see the clock number "hour" start flashing.
- Press UP/START or DOWN to adjust that particular number.
- Keep hitting CLOCK to set minutes - seconds.
- Press CLOCK again to start.
* In the CLOCK mode, press the DOWN button to switch between 12 and 24 hours systems.

The clock seems to stay accurate, but only time will tell. The large numbers (timer) are easy for me to read, about 21mm or 7/8" high. The small numbers (clock) are about 7mm or 1/4" high. It works as I expected. First, set the clock to the precisely correct time. Then, for instance, to set it to countdown until New Years Day, I set days to 213. The hour, minute, and second set to midnight (00). Then when the clock strikes midnight, pushed the "Start" button. Then it immediately begins the countdown! Cool.I could imagine this would be entertaining for kids, so they could check exactly how much longer they must wait for some event they're looking forward to. Like a birthday, Christmas, vacation/holiday trip, or whatever.The batteries are included. Preinstalled, in fact. The CR2032 is a common size, and are easily accessible so battery replacement should be simple. It feels heavy and solid. The quality seems to be excellent. It's wrapped in a small bubble envelope inside a nice box. Well packaged and suitable as a gift.I mentioned its weight, and my only complaint is the magnets are not up to the task of holding it fast to any painted metal surface I tried. It doesn't really fall off, it more so slides down and off the vertical surface. I was going to reduce the rating because of this. However, because it's flat and will stand up by itself, and it comes with a "kickstand" attachment to stand up on a horizontal surface at an angle. And since I am pleased to get something these days that seems to be well manufactured and made with care. So I'm tentatively rating it as 5 stars.

It does what I wanted. It was a little tricky get it set up down to the seconds but overall it performing as anticipated. Nice size.

Must have for any retirement countdown! It’s easy to set up, update and reset. It’s easy to read, it had a semi loud beep & good quality magnet. The timer stays on track and the image around the countdown is very good quality. My boss used it for the last 3 months of her countdown and it made her so happy, she now handed it over to the office to use on the next retirement.

Even though the product description communicated the size, I was surprised as to how small it was. Not the manufacturer's fault but be aware.You have to calculate the countdown time independently and then enter the information into this countdown timer I expected that to be part of the countdown timer, is function.Once set up it seems to be doing fine.

It is small, but it was identified in the add, so I am not surprised. Will do the job it is intended for. Easy set up! The only thing is that the batteries appears to be low already and will need changing soon.
