This comes packaged very well to protect the screen. The tools included are cheap, but they work for the job. The only problem was getting enough torque on the handle when trying to remove the hinge screws. I just wrapped some cloth around it and duct taped it tightly to increase the diameter of the handle. Then it worked fine.To remove the bottom screws you need a pentalob wrench. It is not the same as a Torx wrench, though similar. At first I thought there wasn't a bit for the bottom screws, but under a magnifying glass I saw that the bit labeled 1.2 was the pentalob bit for the bottom screws.It looks great when installed. Apparently the screen is not True Tone anymore, but I can't really see a difference.The product pictures in the listing don't show it, but there is the Apple logo on the outside and says MacBook Air on the bottom of the screen just like the original.

the screen stopped working after a month, i was using my laptop and suddenly the screen went black and there was a crack. seller refuses to apply warranty to screen and replace it. i would not recommend… stay far away.

So I will most likely update this review once I get another screen. Installation is actually very easy, however when we went to boot up the screen came back garbled (for lack of a better word) and you couldn't make out the desktop at all. I believe there is a issue with this screen, probably just a bad batch. I will give another one a try, but the quality seemed good.

I replaced my 2020 MacBook Air M1 malfunctioning screen with this one, it was easy, came with tools and looks and act very similar to the original screen. As other people have stated, it is not quite as bright as the original but it does the job fine. It will not allow you to do True Tone but it is a software limitation, not a physical limitation, the brightness may also be a software limitation - I say this because initially, True Tone worked and after a hard restart, it no longer functioned. I recommend the screen, just know it may not be as bright if you watch movies on it.

One thing to note: the case color is just slightly darker than the original. So what, right? ( I speculate that this is an OEM screen that didn't pass QC for the case color. Their loss, my gain.). I have some experience under the hood, so the swap was easy, but tedious... as it always is). Hell of a lot cheaper than buying a new AIR... next time I'll at least close the screen before hitting the head, only to discover it had started pouring outside while I was temporarily 'distracted.'

Loved this at first! Fit my MAC perfectly and worked great until it was sitting on my dresser untouched and I opened it the next morning and it was cracked!! No clue how it happened without being touched! Very disappointed that I only had it for 2 months and this happened!!

I followed a YouTube video on the process. It was fairly straightforward, but you need to be VERY careful when reconnecting some of the cables. Also, be patient when separating the old screen from the laptop hinges. And again when reinstalling the new screen.
