The only thing i had a hard time with was figuring out why there was only 2 connections instead of 3 since my screen has 3. I watched the video and realized the 3rd comes off the old screen. So make sure you watch the video to see what im talking about. I cant tell if its all set in correctly. The sides dont click like the top and bottom. The top had a couple spots that also didnt make an audible clip. I can kind of see a slight gap between the screen but it doesnt click in the other areas if i try moving it anymore. Its hardly noticeable unless youre looking for it. The touch works perfect so far. If anything changes i will update.

The screen was pretty well packaged but upon opening it looked like screen was chipped through the plastic adhesive, did not think nothing of it and thought it was the protective film but upon removal of film after instillation it was clear that it is chipped as it cracked in that area. Screen works otherwise, works better than last one.

This screen is much better than the original screen. You might want to get this screen even if your original screen isn't broken. Most noticeable is the much wider viewing angle.Screen could have come with better instructions (Thank goodness for YouTube). Some screens even come with a small plastic tool that looks like a guitar pic to help you get the old screen out. I used an old credit card.Don't know why but had trouble getting the computer to restart after the screen installation. The screen would light up for several seconds and then the computer would shut down. Finally held down on the Power button until it started and it came up normally.

My boss bought this so i could replace the original for him since I have done to many to count. At first i was surprised at the ease of installment. But as soon as i started to put the unit into the back cover, it cracked.Any pressure while trying to get the clips to click results in a super quick crack. As you see in the last photo, i didnt even get a chance to get it completely secured to the back cover and was worried to try even further.I will not try to use this brand again. The glassnused is softer then rock candy. Not good for use with a device thats meant to be portable such as a laptop.2 stars only because it was actually easy to do.

I bought this laptop when I started back to school and absolutely love it. However I made a mistake and let my 6yr old use it to watch something and my 4yr old jumped on the screen on accident and broke it 😩 I was devastated. However I’ve replaced screens on iPhones before and knew it could be done.I’m a typical mom of 3, no electronic knowledge and just watched a couple YouTube videos and looked at the directions. Which by the way If you’re not familiar with this kind of stuff is a little confusing, follow the directions just a couple steps NOT the full length of everything they do on the YouTube videos! I mainly watched to make sure I was removing the old screen properly and how they removed the ribbon connector in the first step cause it was a little confusing. Try not to touch the screen or anything else on the inside as little as possible. I recommend buying a kit specifically for repairing phones/pcs/consoles etc,.. we keep one that we bought for like $25 on Amazon and it’s been great!Anyway, installation was quick and easy and it works - touch screen and all!! I do notice it’s not 100% as smooth as the other meaning when I use the touch screen to press on some things I might need to adjust where my finger goes maybe a little bit above or below where I’m touching. It’s not for everything which I think is strange and it’s not enough to make me regret my purchase at all. Video/picture quality is great and as smooth as it was before. I 100% recommend this screen replacement, this has saved me probably several hundred dollars to pay someone to do it plus the up charge they’ll put on the screen replacement I’m sure to make more.

This was the wrong part, but I did npot find that out until I went to install it into the proginal bezel. It shattered at the clip insertion point.

Great fix for was perfect connections were easier to manage than anticipated. Saved the need to buy new laptop. Highly recommend

I replaced my screen with this one. 2 noticeable differences, the HP logo is gone and the touchscreen cover is not the same glass as the original. Stil does the job and the resolution is really nice. I don’t feel like the touch calibration is 100% calibrated even after recalibration, it’s always off by 1/8-1/4 in.
