A good choice for providing a backup solution for critical home circuits. This product is familiar to electricians which facilitates finding a reputable technician to perform the installation. I have two in service for 8 years without an issue. Well-made and industry standard.

I wired this off our main panel for an EcoFlow Delta Pro Ultra battery system. I also wired the Reliance 50 amp generator inlet box so we have the option to power the entire panel from the batteries. The Pro/Tran2 is a well designed quality product and Reliance tech support is excellent and refreshing in this day of chat bots and offshore support. If you call Reliance with questions you'll immediately be connected with a knowledgeable support person here in the US that clearly answers any questions at least that was my experience with several calls. The only issue I had with the transfer switch was getting the wire bundle into my panel. The included piece of flexible conduit (Greenfield) was only about 16 inches in length and about 3 inches short for my installation. I instead opted to use rigid pvc conduit and it would've helped if the knockout for the bundle was 1-1/4 or better yet 1-1/2" rather than 1". Yes I could've drilled it out but that would require pulling the 22 wire bundle out of the switch box and I didn't want to go there so I did make it work with pvc but used a pull box and enlarged to 2" into the panel.I've never been a fan of connecting stranded and solid wire with wire nuts so I decided to use WAGO lever connectors. I overlooked the fact that circuits A & B are 10 AWG not 12 like the others and I didn't have the proper WAGO's for those 2 black wire tie-ins and had to use wire nuts but I will replace those as WAGO does make a lever nut for 10 AWG.This was a fun project and the transfer switch works as intended.

I have recieved my panel earlier then expected where some places were going to take a month to get, everything was in the box no damage at all ,next will pair the wires and then get hooked up ,quality appears very good, looking forward to get my system all hooked up . Ill give update when hooked up and its operation.

For anyone living in a hurricane zone, this is a must have. I purchased this prior to hurricane season. It took my son and I about 2 hours to hook up. This included drilling through block to install the generator outlet on the outside of the garage and run the wire through to the transfer switch. The instructions are very simple and straight forward. After we hooked everything up we ran a test which is simple to do.The meters are nice to see what pull your putting on the generator. My neighbor watched us and by the end of the day his order was in.

To support an Anker Solix F3800/BP3800 system for power outages we chose the Reliance A510A Manual Transfer Switch (MTS) . Materials are high quality and our Electrical had no issues with the installation (FYI Electrician labor in NW NJ was $950 for about 3 hours work including an outlet to plug in the Solix for re-charging.) Know what the Breaker Amps are for the circuits you need to put on the MTS - I needed to run out for 20A two pole breaker (Siemens to match breaker replacing) for a well pump circuit. Confirm breaker amps needed from main panel and whether the OEM breakers match-up - if not you'll need to replace those breakers. Highly recommend.

Ordered this transfer switch to connect my generator to my home. I decided to get the one with 10 circuits. The package was shipped from Jasper Generators and delivered almost a week ahead of schedule. Everything was in order with the transfer switch and included hardware. After receiving it and planning out the install I ultimately decided to go a different route. I hate to return things but ended up needing to return this.Hopefully all goes well with the refund. Will update if there are any issues.

The master electrician recommend the Reliance 50 amp 10 circuit manual transfer switch than other manufacturers. He installed it in about 3 hours. All of my essential circuits have power: refrigerator, outdoor freezer, sump pump, water heater, microwave, Wi-Fi router, and house lights.
