This is a new brand to me, but well satisfied with the quality, fit and finish. easy install clear labeled wires, only time will tell how well it holds up. perfect for my application of connecting my gas furnace to generator when power goes off and price was a plus

Cost was low ~ $33; Was well built for this purpose. Note that this unit is set-up to switch the neutral in addition to the hot line. In some cases, that means if your generator is not grounded some equipment may not operate because you might have a floating ground. Very happy with this product.

This product is made by Everdevelop and listed under several different manufacturers on Amazon, all for about the same price. Fit and finish are very nice. The box is sturdy and nothing about it feels cheap. The knockouts come pre-punched with covers. They are standard 3/4" knockouts (~1" outside diameter). Both hot and neutrals are switched. All wires have clear labels indicating line and load. To operate with an unswitched neutral the easiest option is to tie both the Line and Load neutral wires together with your circuit Line and Load neutrals. You could instead remove the connectors from the switch, but you would lose the generator power indicator LED, as that is jumpered from one of the leads. The wires are all 12GA stranded. The box is only rated for 15A, but that is because the inlet is a NEMA 5-15 (standard grounded wall plug). For the box to handle 20A it would need to be a NEMA 5-20, which would mean that you would have to use a 20A extension cord.To use this with a boiler, I opted to connect it to the emergency shut off switch. To do this you need:* 1/2" offset conduit nipple (1)* 1/2" conduit nuts (2)* 3/4" conduit reducing washers (2)

Working fine after I determined how to set it up, Be careful to follow the wiring diagram. Use an ohm meter to insure which wires will be input and output before hooking up and insure you don't mix up the hot and neutrals.

I purchased this to be able to add backup power to my parent's furnace in the event of a power outage. I expected to receive this and see it assembled with the cheapest, no-name, unlisted parts but all of the components (with the exception of maybe the indicator) were UL listed registered components (RU mark). The whole enclosure was UL listed and came with plenty of lead length and well marked conductors.I feel confident in the quality of this unit and would gladly recommend it to others for a cost-effective solution to add a manually operated backup power source option to a single 15A circuit in your home.

I installed this myself, with only intermediate electrical skills, as a generator hookup for my gas boiler. I have used it several times when the electricity went out, and has been perfect.
