I have had these for several years and for the first 2 I had them outside on my fence. They began to rust inside of the tube piping but it hasn't affected operation. Still holding up and easy enough to get a kayak on by yourself.

Thick cushioned portion to support weight of the boat. Love the straps over the top. Can't comment on the hardware as I used t25 deck screws. Just trying to avoid screws with diff heads everywhere.

The mount is very sturdy and easy to mount. Only negative is the mounting screws are made of soft metal so it's easy to strip the head if you're drilling them into a framing stud.
