Lint Free polyester Cleaning Swabs

Polyester swabs are produced using automated processes that thermally bond knitted polyester fibers. They exhibit strong resistance to most solvents and are effective at scrubbing away tough grease, partially cured adhesives, and flux residues.

High Absorptive Foam Cleaning Swabs

Foam swabs consist of compressed open cell polyurethane foam firmly fixed onto a polystyrene shaft. They are great for cleaning electronics, keyboards, and tight spaces, offering excellent absorbency, purity, and precision cleaning, as well as liquid application and surface sampling.

  • AAwipes has a selection of four foam swab subtypes, including the economical and absorbent open-cell polyurethane (PU) C714C, the stronger and less absorbent close-cell PU C709C, the close-cell ESD safe E750DF, and the double-end swabs D7220 & D7230.

  • Open-cell polyurethane foam swabs are superior to cotton due to their durability and cleanliness. They are affordable, highly absorbent, and do not leave fibers behind. They are best used with alcohol but should be avoided with harsh solvents.

  • - Made of knitted polyester (woven), resistant to many solvent chemicals;

    - Strong and durable so they have superior scrubbing ability;

    - Soft and much less lint than foam swabs;

    - Good for high precision lint-free cleaning applications.

  • - Tips are made out of special ESD safe close-cell PU foam and shaft materials

    - Protects sensitive microcircuits from static discharge damage

    - Dissipates existing static and prevents static build-up in use

    - Usually more expensive than other swabs

  • Although swabs are mostly compatible with alcohol, acetone can cause open-cell foam swabs to swell and break down. Close-cell polyurethane swabs are less affected, and our microfiber swabs are compatible with harsh solvents.

I use these on my longarm and sewing machines. Dust and lint cling to them, and they are small enough to get into most crevices. They are all I use.

In cleaning delicate equipment these LINT FREE swabs are essential Also, the flexibility of the foam helps it conform to indentations and curves when cleaning things like old radio cabinets with louvers, curves, and raised designs. If you do a lot of restoration work, you will need a variety of size swabs, but this is probably the most useful size.

I bought some similar ones made by the same manufacturer which upon receiving I was disappointed. Later found out that the same manufacturer made these which are thicker and hold more cleaner. Great for cleaning my bolts, frames, receivers. Fantastic oiling my parkerised finish. The thinner ones will aid in getting between those tight spots. No worries about fuzz or fibers left behind. Going to have to really look at other shapes. Beware that in the Amazon description they don’t note the manufacturer model number/code. These thicker ones start with a C, the thinner with a A. Visit the manufacturer website.
