Installed my Eibach lowering springs myself with this tool after I was quoted almost $600 for a shop to do it. Worked like they should, and saved me a ton of money.

Years ago, I bought a set of cheap Harbor Freight spring compressors so I could do the front struts on a first gen Tacoma. I’m no wimp, but they were so flimsy that I thought every second was going to be my last. Not so with these. They compressed the springs on a 3rd gen 4runner smoothly and easily, and there was never a point where they looked like they might fly off. Also, the safety pin locks worked just fine over the 4runner springs, but I never felt like they were really needed, because the the tool had a nice firm grip on the coils.Good value for the money.

Set received was new & clean except for preservative oil. Case is sturdy & well laid out.I used to change front struts on my 2013 Taurus. Front weight is 2333lbs - coil diameter 60mm. Struts were already out of vehicle, so no frame clearance issues .Tool retaining clamps ARE thick and can't be set close to ends if spring coil in like mine. Still plenty of room for compression and I'd rather have them thick and strong.Bracket curve was just barely big enough for my 60mm coils. Retaining pins drug on coil and had to be tapped in from outside. Compression was easy - no slipping - always firmly held. Used 30w oil on threads instead of specified anti-seize - copper crap can be hard to get off afterward. Went with 1/2 drive ratchet to spin rod - alternating sides. Could have carefully used impact wrench, but played safe with an unknown tool. Saw no indication of any binding or bending of screw during use. Only wear was where screw spins in the loose bracket - zero wear on the rest.ABN tool worked well for me and I'm happy with it. This is for DIY occasional use, not pro-shop use.Heavier vehicles or trucks with stronger, thicker coils may require a more robust tool.

For the money I highly recommend these! This picture was done on a 2021 GMC sierra 1500 springs! So they are a little bigger and won’t let the silver safety pin go all the way through and it did bend the rods a tad bit But they worked fantastic and will work for multiple other uses in the future. I would buy again.

Will fit Honda Cars . Will not fit GMC Acadia stock springs or aftermarket springs. Nice tool just won't fit multiple vehicles.

When they arrived I used them the next day and worked perfectly. The threads are really thick and tough and can handle being used on an air impact wrench. Be safe with these guys! A lot of energy behind them when in use!
