I bought these to remove 700lb/in 2.5" ID coilover springs. They will not work for this. 1st: The lip on the "hooks" wouldn't fit between the coils. 2nd: If you are able to fit the hooks between the coils, the threaded rod will bend like a wet noodle trying to compress 700lb/in springs.If you are using these for McPherson strut springs, you're probably fine using them. But they aren't for use with heavy duty offroad coilovers.

Amazon said works they are totally wrong will not compress spring and be able to install lower control arm on vehicle period / the clamps do not fit spring and the locks would not fit either in order to do do job you need different type compressor so that you can install arm and spring
