This welder’s blanket works great to reduce the heat from a radiator that was overheating the room it’s in when the heating system made the rest of our 1920s-era house otherwise comfortable. We’d had several HVAC techs try to adjust the radiator but were unable to reduce its heat as much as we wanted. One suggested cracking a window (a security concern, so not a good option) or using a fire-resistant blanket, and this one solved the problem, reducing the temperature by about 10 degrees. Most of the time, we use it folded in half to cover the radiator with a double layer. If we get a cold snap & need to warm the room up, we can adjust the blanket to get just the right amount of heat without turning the room into a sauna. It was a relatively affordable solution compared with downsizing the radiator. The radiator wasn’t especially attractive before it was covered, so the aesthetic impact of the cover is negligible.

Very nice, well made fiberglass blanket...very soft and handelable.Shipping was very fast, 2 days, much appreciated !I'm using this as thermal blanket for grilling in cold weather, as grill was having hard time getting up to high temperature in cold...this blanket solved that problem and keeps temp stable as well. I fold it over a couple times so it fits just over the width of the grill cover, and that is very effective at thermal insulation.Since it's very soft and smooth, it's a little slippery too, so you have to drape enough over both front and back to balance it from sliding off...but this is easily done...though you might have to consider how to keep vents clear. Mine is a Traeger wood-pellet grill, so I fold blanket thickly on top so it doesn't drop over the back and cover vents on back. The blanket will darken from smoke, but that's harmless.

Insulates heat very well. I don't use these blankets for a grill, but rather the heaters in my apartment. When it gets warm outside for a few days in the winter, the landlord keeps the heat turned up which makes my apartment very hot. I cover the baseboard heaters with these blankets and my apartment cools back down. The only warning I would give is that the fiberglass that these blankets are made of give you microscopic splinters that are very painful and feel like needles sticking in your skin. Definitely wear gloves when handling these blankets! Fiberglass is pretty fragile so with a good scrubbing with cold water they come right out, but they're still painful when embedded in the skin.

This is the second one I ordered ,the first one lasted about 4 years . They hold the heat in so I use less pellets.I'm hopeful this one will last just as long as my first oneGreat value and product.

This worked great for insulating the smoker in the cold windy day and covering the vent holes across the top of our PB1600CS PITT BOSS SMOKER. At 250 degrees the touch of the blanket was warm to the touch.

We bought this to protect our wooden fence from our charcoal grill. Upon opening the package you’ll find heavy duty fabric that seems very high quality and durable. It kept the wood on our fence nice and cool and safe from the grilling heat.

I just overlap over the lid during colder temperatures, it really stabilizes (evens) the heat distribution within the lid. You'll use less pellets in the winter!

Used to insulate pellet smoker in cold (-5oC). Works great and reduced pellet feed rate. Fraction of cost of the custom fit products. Wrapped a large Yoder with 6x8 blanket.

Llegó rápido, buen tamaño, pero no cubre de las chispas al 100, la utilicé para cubrir piso de cerámica al momento de soldar y si hubo algunas quemaduras y manchas que se notan, tal vez si se usa doble no pase
