These are kind of see through like an old t shirt but they will stop all sparks and act as a good enough wind block for welding outside or as a spark barrier for welding in a garage. I draped one over my dirtbike to do just that and it wrapped from front to back and over the top.They are fiberglass and are very itchy feeling, definitely don't cuddle with it.

We had a defensible space inspection and were dinged for having wood stacked on the deck during fire season. Since there is only one month left, I bought these to cover the wood pile from possible embers in case of a fire ("firebrands"). After I draped it over the pile, my forearms and hands burned from the fine bits of fiberglass for the rest of the day. Next time I'll wear gloves...
