A capacitor is an electric component that temporarily stores an electrical charge.

Ombines two capacitors into one unit.

A dual "run capacitor" supports two electric motors, such as in large air conditioner or heat pump units, with both a fan motor and a compressor motor.

It saves space by combining two physical capacitors into one case. The dual capacitor has three terminals on the top labeled "Herm"/"H" for the compressor motor, "Fan"/"F" for the fan, and "C" for the common line.

This capacitor is used for start-up and operation of AC motors with

frequency of 50Hz/60Hz such as Industrial Grade Replacement for

Central Air-Conditioners, Heat Pumps, Condenser Fan Motors, and

Compressors. It is small in size, lightweight, heat resisting and anti-explosion.

Technical Specification

Tolerance: ±5%

Shape: Round Run

Rated voltage: AC 370-440V

Operating temperature: -40°C to +70°C/ -13℉ to 158℉

Capacitors come in a variety of sizes, depending on the capacitance (µF or MFD), such as 50 plus 5 µF, and also the voltage. A 440 volt capacitor can be used in place of a 370 volt, as it is build better, but the 370 can’t be used in place of a 440 volt. It will work for a while and will fail prematurely, as exceeding the capacitor's rated voltage will cause the dielectric to break down and the capacitor to short out.The capacitance(µF or MFD) must be the same or stay within 10%+ or 5%- of its original value . But use the same voltage ratings capacitor is better.

Remark:

1.Please wait for at least 1 minute to let capacitor to release power before replacement

2.Most common of capaictor broken is that condensor motor not work, capacitor become fatter obviously than before

It was easy to install and works great. The terminals are easily marked as well as color-coded for HERM, FAN and common. It was longer than the original capacitor, but I had plenty of room to install it.

The AMPTATA CBB65 AC Capacitor with a 40uF ± 5% rating has been nothing short of a lifesaver for my furnace blower. Facing an unexpected issue, this capacitor not only kick-started my blower but also spared me from an unnecessary and expensive service call. The ±5% tolerance ensures precise and reliable performance, and the 370V/440VAC voltage rating provides a robust solution for diverse applications. I was impressed by the capacitor's ability to seamlessly start my furnace blower, demonstrating its efficiency and reliability. The cost-effectiveness of this component, coupled with its stellar performance, makes the AMPTATA CBB65 Capacitor a smart choice for anyone looking to save both time and money on HVAC maintenance. I highly recommend it for its effectiveness and budget-friendly solution.

Easy to replace a/C capacitor. Three wires. Easy to follow instructions. Many YouTube videos if you don't what you are doing. New heat pump took a surge. Called a/C tech. Not covered by warranty. Charged 90 service call plus $$ 155 $$ for a/C capacitor. I ordered two extra. Switched them out. Work perfectly. I'm ready for the next surge and no a/C tech ripoff.

Not sure how to read it. It’s just sitting on the shelf in case I need it. Not sure how good it will be or how long it will work. It’s for emergency only. Hopefully I won’t need it.

It was compact and cheaper than the local HVAC dealer wanted for a similar part.
