The current transformer should not be used open circuit or connected with fuses
When the current transformer is in use, be sure to connect the load device at the output end of the transformer

I purchased two of these sensors for a power monitoring project. I was initially concerned due to the limited reviews but decided to take a chance. These have exceeded my expectations. The hinge and latch are robust, the opening is large enough to clamp around large gauge cable, the leads are sturdy, and there are places to zip tie the clamp to a wire so it stays put!

Works good if it is loaded with a very small resistor, less than 1 ohm, or a short as in an ammeter.Very accurate, mine was within 1% with a 0.1ohm load.

Excellent split current transformer. A bit bulky, but easy to open and close. Great value.

Looks to be quality. Not sure which meter it's compatible with so beware.
