Backdraft Damper
A one-way airflow duct tool designed to prevent exhausted air and odors from sweeping back into ventilation systems.

Spring-Loaded Dampers
The lightweight shutter blades are made of aluminum and easily open to airflow. Spring-loaded to close when your fan is turned off.
Complete Anti-Draft Seal
Once the butterly blade dampers are closed shut, they block exhausted air and odor from flowing the other way, ensuring full ventilation.
Tight Gripping Rubber Rings
Outer rubber gaskets line the backdraft damper to provide grip on your inner duct lining. Allows you to install it in horizontal or vertical orientations.

Easy to install, just use good tape. The damper flaps work very well as advertised. Very sturdy. Depending on the size of your duct piping, it may mount inside, outside or edge to edge alignment. If using on metal duct pipe, use good aluminum duct tape. Very pleased with the product.

These are easily the most solid check dampers I've ever bought.Solid aluminum, with aluminum butterfly plates inside that back-seals very well, and opens with minimal flow resistance.I also bought a 6" air handler by AC Infinity that's going to be used in the same system as these two dampers, and I'm blown away by this company's build quality. I won't be getting those flimsy galvanized tin dampers from the big box stores anymore! :-)

Kind of difficult tp install with the AC infintiy 6" flex tubing. I wanted to put it online with my exhaust tube and boy was it not easy lol. I assume that most people want the dampner to keep cold air from coming from the outside to inside their tents? Am I wrong? So why does this dampner barley fit inside the tubing or onto one of AC infinties scrubber fans? Maybe I installed it wrong 🤷 I don't believe my way of thinking is that wrong however. Most of Ac infintys products are plug and play. I should know I own about 20 different items. I got the dampner in place and working beautifully. It just took some real effort and engineering on my part to get it to that point

After reading through dozens of reviews and product information, we first bought the AC Infinity Flexible 6-Inch Aluminum Ducting, Heavy-Duty Four-Layer Protection, 8-Feet Long for Heating Cooling Ventilation and Exhaust.It was packaged so well you could send it as a Christmas gift, the quality of the duct tubing was outstanding.Fast forward a week while we were installing the new stove exhaust fan, we realized we would need this flapper piece, as the old one was getting stuck.We were so impressed with the duct tubing that we purchased this product from AC as well, and were not disappointed. It is the Mercedes of exhaust flappers.This AC flapper was the exact size advertised at 5.79" width/round, which was just a smidgen smaller than most of the others advertised at 5.90".So instead of having to monkey around with it, it slipped perfectly inside the Vikio range hood 30" under cabinet kitchen hood with 980 CFM, 3 speed gesture sensing & touch control panel in stainless steel, vent hole on top the hood.A little larger it would not have worked, we are grateful the AC specs are perfect, it made the install a dream come true.We will keep this company in mind when doing other projects, such as heating, vents, dryer etc, well worth the cost.Thank you

Works great for keeping the winter cold air out of my portable air conditioner/heater. Opens fully when in use, allowing exhaust to vent outside without obstruction.

I received the product and it is very sturdy and the anodizing is great. The flappers do not seal against any foam which is fine since the foam would probably deteriorate over time anyway. I did have to shave the flappers so there would be not possibility of them getting stuck during normal use. The main complaint I have is that the OD is smaller than 6" but it is still too big to fit into a 6" ID. So when purchasing this make sure the ID you want this to go into is bigger then 6", especially if the pipe is rigid and you want the outside rubber seal to fit the ID.

Installed vertically so didn't have the problems of function other people have.However it's a pity that the description is wrong.1. It says that it is spring loaded.2. It states that it can be installed horizontal!
