After 6 years of using my Pit Boss at least twice a week the controller went bad. It came with the wiring diagram so the installation went smooth. It was what I needed but I replaced the sensor also. Hopefully it will last another 6 years..

Perfect replacement for the original, prefer the dial knob on this one due to the factory knob having rubber and the rubber deteriorating. Straightforward install.

Bought May 18 2024 and on Sept 9 2024, I rebuilt Pitt Boss PB1000ps1 (lowes) with new board and all new associated parts.Plugged in grill and immediately, the fan started blowing even with the power button off. That was my first indicator there was a problem….Started grill and temps soared to 485 with the baord set at 200. Thought it mat settle in but it did not. Tried again later and same thing.Fan never shut off unless it was unplugged.Removed and re-installed original board which works appropriately.

This control board worked great, right out of the box. Perfect replacement for my Pit Boss. Saved me $ by fixing my current grill and not having to buy something new.

My grill had an over temperature condition and powered off. After that, it never turned on again. I swapped the blower fan, because that is a potential problem, to no avail. I did some digging and found this control board for my Pit Boss (PB820PS1) and decided to attempt to drop another $60 to save myself the headache of buying another grill. Popped the old control board out and swapped over the wires one at a time since the cables are not color matched, and the grill lives!!! I'll have to wait and see how well this control board handles over time, but, until then, I'm smoking some ribs this weekend!

Different size than old one, ordered using model #.Works great just hanging out in the opening.

One of my neighbors threw out a Pitboss Smoker in excellent shape, however the Wi-Fi controller had died. I bought this to try out as a cheaper replacement than the Brand Name, and it works flawlessly! Once I figured out the wiring, everything worked just as I had hoped.
