I love watching cooking shows and so often they have a salt bowl (?) usually of acacia wood at the ready for that perfect pinch of salt. Well I decided to treat myself and found this one with the spoon. The spoon I would say is a definate plus. I worried about reaching into that salt with food juice on my fingers. This is such a great idea. The item is so pretty and looks so nice on the counter. It just feels like a little bit of fancy.

Love that it comes with a small spoon. I tend to overall things. This way I have more salt control. Love it.

I really am happy I bought this. It's very functional and convenient. I have half filled with kosher salt, and the other half finishing salt. I dinged it one star because the finish isn't what it could be. I suppose I could sand it myself, but I haven't. It gets used daily, and I've had it fior a couple years now. It's held up just fine.

I like the functionality of having two compatible &/or frequently used salts in the same go-to container. I was surprised at the diameter, but two containers in one would have to be wider or taller than a standard salt shaker. The finish needs another round of fine sanding, and a glaze would be nice. Olive oil can address this oversight. However, the lid did not fit the base and the magnet is not big/strong enough to close the gap. So my salt will be open to the airs...not so sure I want this 'feature' with a container.
