For the price these are a bargain. Checked against a 1â€, 2†and 3†standard they’re well within .001†accuracy on all three.The case is good quality and easy to use, the calipers have a very smooth feeling to them. The fit and finish isn’t quite as good as Mitutoyo or Starrett but they’re a fraction of the price.If you’re on a budget and want a good pair of dial calipers you can trust, these are the way to go.

Machinist since 93' and looked these over good...Wow, very surprised as there was no light showing through both jaws, excellent finish, and the rack is smooth. I don't think you'll find a better dial caliper at this price. I didn't get a chance to gauge them out with some master blocks, but hard to believe they're not within spec.Update: 5JAN25Read a comment about someone dropping theirs and the paint on the needle fell off the needle. I then went and took a closer look a mine, and noticed the paint was cracked in about the middle of the needle. I guess we'll see how long it takes to fall off...Seems like there is always something.

I love that this is a fully mechanical tool, requiring no batteries like my other caliper. It measures true, and the dial is easy to adjust. It is easy to read, but it's also easy to misread. Double or triple check your measurements until you've gotten quite used to reading a dial caliper.

This dial caliper is very well made and finished. It has a smooth rack & pinion movement through it's range, and a clear, easily read face. But, one problem exists, at least on mine. The hand doesn't dock at 12 o'clock. It sits at a few degrees clockwise so the increment bezel must also be clocked to match the "0" with the position of the hand. Seems like a QC issue that could have been corrected at the factory. It still works, and measures correctly, but doesn't look very good. At least it doesn't require batteries to function. I've got a few of those.

I don't use this every day but it does get used at least a couple of days per week and it's been functioning flawlessly. I am very pleased with both the caliper and the price.Edit July 12/2022It worked perfectly until I dropped it. And YES that is something that should be avoided with precision tools but it does say " SHOCKPROOF" on the dial but they would need to be very gentle shocks.I was bordering on OCD putting it back in its case after every use ... until today when I didn't and in reaching for something else knocked it off my workbench a total of 4 feet to the floor. after the first 2 feet, it hit a plastic tote then bounced off a wooden shelf then hit the concrete floor.I expected the worst and that is what happened but what surprised me is the paint that had been applied to the dial indicator needle shattered as can be seen in the photo.Lesson learned. DO NOT drop it.

Nice heavy and accurate dial caliper. Tested and used many times and always returns to zero no matter how fast or far the jaws are opened and closed. Would buy again, I work as a heavy truck mechanic and it has lasted with me.
