I was Fly cutting a large piece of angle today and needed to get it square to use as an angle plate. I used the jacks between the plate and my vise to keep it aligned. I used a dial indicator to position everything. The lock nuts worked very well to hold the jacks position. Very nice jacks for the price point. Cant be beat!

I bought this to raise up the middle of my kitchen/pantry cabinet which has sagged 1/2" due to crushed bottom plastic supports that has decayed over time so that I can add in wood posts and shims. I pre-lubricated the screws as one review says the threads are not that smooth. I placed a piece of wood on top so the top cap will not dig into the bottom of the cabinet. This lived up to the high weight claim as my cabinet is 8' tall and fully loaded with granite and appliances. But cranking the screw with the supplied crank rod was problematic. The rod is too short and the material it is made of is too soft. I had to use a vice grip to hold the rod for added leverage and you can see that the rod broke. When I added the 2nd jack, I also lubricated the joint to the top cap with WD40 so the screw can rotate better against it. But it was still hard to turn using the remaining half of the rod with the vice grip. The rod was bent also as shown in the photo. I did not use the 2nd rod at all so it remained perfect. Also, if you look at the 2 pieces of wood that was placed between the top caps and my cabinet, you can see that the lubricated top cap left a perfect imprint of itself whereas the other one clearly indicates that the top cap was rotating with the screw. So I would advise lubricating the screw and the top cap joint before use.My cabinet was 3.5" from the floor and needed to be raised to 4". This jack was the perfect size of the job and it worked well except for the hassle with the rod. And the price was good.

In most of the reviews I read I saw bad things written about these little jacks but mine are wonderful. They work like they should and look very nice. There is no way I could have made them myself with the nice case for what they cost me. I am ordering another set. Nick

One of the 2 jacks has a swivel head which is easy to use and does not damage what is being lifted or separated. The other jack has a fixed or Non swiveling head which rotates against the surface being lifted and damages/mars that surface. If intentional, it is a bad design. If not intentional, it is bad quality control.

Good value. Not as sturdy/precise as some other similarly sized jacks, but these were noticeably cheaper than the higher end ones. They did a good job for me.

Well, time I guess will tell if these are up to scratch, but from initial comparison to my more expensive starrett jacks these are fairly solid and come as a pair.

I didn't really buy them for their intended purpose. I bought it to support my sagging video card. It looks better in person than the pictures on the page. they come in a nice little case too. Worth the money since they'd last longer than most of us.
