I bought the 1/2" and 3/4" end mills as well as ordered (separately) the aluminum geometry inserts. I was a bit skeptical that they would be very good, but after many hours of dry cutting aluminum, the results have been fantastic. I would guesstimate that the first set of insert cutting edges on my 3/4" tool have seen perhaps 15 hours of actual cutting time in both 7075 and 6061 aluminum and are still going. I run the 3/4" tool at 12,000 RPMs, 2000 mm/min feed rate with a depth of cut at around 3-4mm. The chips come off in a rooster tail with a very good finish quality for a rough cut.In my experience, whether on a lathe or a mill, insert tooling does not tolerate cutting light cuts or slow speeds very well. The lighter the pass, the rougher the surface in many cases. These insert tools do a great job of removing material quickly with a reasonably good surface finish resulting, but if you want a great surface finish, they should be followed up with a good carbide endmill. For aluminum, I like the YG Alu-power 3 flute bits for that.

This is an awesome little indexable in Mill. You get all the performance of solid carbide, with less than the price of high-speed steel. You just can't go wrong with this tool for its intended application. I use this as one of my go-to cutters at Wheat State welding LLC in Derby Kansas. I don't have to worry about scrapping the $300 solid carbide in Mill, when I can load this thing up and make chips for days.the only thing to keep in mind, is you don't have a lot of depth of cut, and this is not a center cutting product.

I wanted a end mill with inserts and this was in my price range, so far this has been working awsome, cuts are clean, I have used it on 4140 and 1144, also the shipping was on timeðŸ‘

For the price, it’s a pretty decent tool. Works great with aluminum. Test cut at .125 DoC, 40% stepover, 750SFM.... chatter city on steel though if you try to run it any feed worth waiting around for. Better inserts might help with that though. I have quite a few other Accusize indexables with 2-3 flutes that do great in both mild and stainless though.Lost a star because the shank was a little undersize so it was not having a fun time in a set screw holder. Plopped it into a collet and everything was hunky-dorey

Beware! The main holding part of this cutter is very soft metal, appears it was NEVER hardened and then tempered. When you go to actually use this tool it dies not have the strength in the steel to take the cutting behavior and then simply snaps off, not worth the grief

Works great for what I do with it. At 1600 rpm chews through nice and quick. Haven't had to change carbides yet.
