- Grade C-6 is a general-purpose grade for cutting all steel and stainless steel.

Note
After the tool cuts into the workpiece 2mm, do not let the cutter go left and right. The cutter is not designed to do that. If you really need to do so, keep the cutting depth less than 0.5mm.

Used on aluminum,bronze and steel with no issues due to the design of tool. Watched a few youtube videos on parting tools being used but they never talk about the design of the tool being used atleast the ones i watched

I own an outboard modifying shop and I cut only billet aluminum and this tool is working great , like all incert tooling can’t “crowd†it and it will work just as it was designed

The tool looks to be quality made however the looks were deceiving. With the bits pushed all the way into the holder and well secured out of 5 bits 2 came out of the holder while turning aluminum rod and 1 came out and jammed while turning (easy to machine) mild steel. With the steel the bottom part of the holder crashed into the steel rod and mushroomed. It could be that mine missed the heat treating step but I will never know. A very disappointing purchase and I do not recommend.

Works really well. I made sure it was square to the 1" mild steel round stock I parted off. It produced a clean cut and almost perfectly formed chips.

Ive been meaning to get one of these for a long time, so i was very pleases when this item arrived, upon forst use worked great. There are many cut off fixtures out there, price was right quality is great. So im glad ipurchased this one.

AS MANY STATED MISLEADING ADD , I HAVE NOT TRIED THE TOOL IT IS LITER THEN I THOUGHT, BUT KNOWING THE CARBIDES BREAK EASY I WOULD NOT HAVE BOT IF I KNEW IT HAD ONLY ONE,

Based on several positive answers and reviews that this would work in my 7x14 lathe I purchased this tool to add to my mini lathe collection of toole. I suspect that owing to the 2 mm cutting width, I didn't have the necessary power for this parting tool perform as it should. The bit broke on the first use to cut only a 3/4 in aluminum rod. Very disappointed. Returned the item. Will seek to try a narrower HSS blade-type of parting tool from another Amazon supplier.
