If you intend to keep your vehicle for more than five years, order a spare. Based on failure rate reports, this is not the most reliable part in your vehicle and it's really annoying if the fans are electric. They will run and run after you turn off your vehicle (e.g. Corvette).

I know nothing about engines and was able to fix my temp issue with this part in my 2015 Chevy 1500 and a YT video in less than 10 minutes. Plus, it was $60 cheaper than the store. Recommend.

Great quality part has thread sealant already on the sensor and a copper crush washer. Bought this and a autozone sensor returned the autozone one due to the sealant feature. Only thing was shipping was delayed presumably because of a snow storm we got in the northern plains. Into northern MN where I'm located. But by the time I got around to doing this and the thermostat next to it just used the acdelco part. Easy insset. Unthread with 19mm that slips over the sensor (impact socket works) then put new one in and top off coolant less than 20 minutes to replace both (used Dorman thermostat assembly) on 2017 gmc sierra slt.
