PREMIUM QUALITY - A high quality, plasticizer free, single component, 100% acrylic elastomeric coating. This product is designed to provide a long-lasting flexible membrane that will retain flexibility even in the harshest climatic conditions.
KEY BENEFITS - Marlin Acrylic Top Coat is designed to provide a protective waterproof membrane and is formulated for maximum UV resistance and solar reflectivity, minimize discoloration, and to have the ability to provide a completely watertight membrane while allowing trapped moisture to escape.
APPLICATION & COVERAGE - This product can be brushed, rolled(1 ¼ nap), or spray applied. One gallon of Marlin Acrylic Top Coat on average covers 60sqft. To achieve proper cured thickness, we recommend that you apply a minimum of two heavy coats. Allow first coat time to dry before applying next coat. Do not apply product if rain is expected or if temperature is expected to drop below 32 degrees within 24 hours of application, ideal application is when temps are above 50 degrees F.

Application

The key to any job is preparation. Before applying the Top Coat, ensure the roof surface has been cleaned of any and all loose debris. From there, allow the roof to completely dry to ensure maximum adhesion. Our Acrylic Top Coat can be brushed, rolled(1 ¼ nap), or spray applied and on average covers 60sqft/gal. To achieve proper cured thickness, we recommend that you apply in two heavy coats. Allow first coat time to dry before applying the next coat. Do not apply product if rain is expected or if temperature is expected to drop below 32 degrees within 24 hours of application, ideal application is when temps are above 50 degrees F.

When using this product on RVs, we recommend reinforcing the roof seams and around all roof accessories such as skylights, vents, etc. using our Fleece Backed Butyl Tape. The backing of our tape is fabric and is designed to be coated over to create a fully seamless, waterproof system.

For Aged EPDM Roofs: We offer an EPDM Rinse Cleaner is specifically formulated to clean and prime aged EPDM Rubber Roofs for our Top Coat products.

Before choosing this product, we compared it with many other popular rv roof coatings/acrylic coatings. We have always used the â€œbigâ€ name rv products, but they are overpriced these days. We had a few questions about the product, so we called, and the staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. We decided to go with Marlin Coatings â€“ Acrylic for our motorhome and have been very impressed with the product and how easy it was to apply. Dries slow. Had to wait 3 days to apply a 2nd coating. Other than that it seems to have worked stopping my rv roof leak.
