Wanted a convenient "add-on" counter display. First unit "black-out" display at power on, second unit has "Measeled display. could see numbers on second unit, counter seems "so-so" but useless, fragile, likely ESD sensitive display, was bad out of the box. Cheap "on-time use" unit at best. The fact it failed completely after 3 power on cycles seems it was a manufacturing problem. I just threw it away after two replacements. It was taking too much of my time.

Counter did not work right out of the box. LCD back light workd but no display segments. Also one of the 4 coner mounting screws were missing as well as the plastic standoff. Junk!! Nothing but a time waster.

The product does not function as advertised. Two units have been bought with the same results: divides actual frequency by two--at least with these two units. I volunteered to send one at my cost to China so they can fix problem. Their response was that "this product can only perform simple frequency testing". Whatever that means, that statement does not match the description of the product: "1 Pcs High Accuracy 1~500 MHz Frequency Counter. If remaining stock are of same nature, it is advised that Amazon remove this product. Silicon Valley Engineer

You pay for junk ,,,, you get junk. Save up and buy a real meter. Although, it did show a freq, wasn't close to the freq I thought I was on

Blinding brightness , display can't show up, due to the bright back ground.. u can use it as a flashlight. Not accurate, and can take waaay to long to read. Does not come with any type of antenna. Just a sma attachment.. I tried many types of wires and antennas to get a good read. Does not work as detailed

So this is not as good as the last one I bought from evil bay - it’s 200KHZ off and not stable at al. Does nothing for me ☹ï¸. The other one is stable to the tenth of Hz. Don’t know why this one is so different.

The device, coupled to a professional signal generator, only displays 1/2 of the RF value, generated by my Signal Generator.It is a pitty because it could have been of great help to me for my job.
