About this item

  • This listing comes with ADE red dot, a picatinny mounting plate(pre-assembled) and a pistol mounting plate for Glock that replaces the factory rear sight dovetail of all Non-MOS Glocks from Glock 17 to Glock 43 to glock “100”. Does NOT fit Glock with AFTERMARKET slide with optic cut.
  • The included Glock plate also fit some other Pistols such as Canik TP9SF(does not fit SFX, COMBAT, SA). This Glock plate also fits Taurus GX4, G3C & G3 with factory steel sights (does not fit any other Taurus models such as G2/G2C/G3 without factory steel sight/Tx22/PT111) because those pistols made the rear sight dovetail based on the Glock rear sight dovetail specifications. While it is possible to install this mount without the use of a Gunsmith, we recommend hiring a professional gunsmith
  • The ADE RD3-006 has been upgraded with several enhancements to improve functionality and user experience. The rear locking screws have been removed and replaced with a self-locking mechanism for easier use and greater reliability. Additionally, the new motion-activated technology puts the green dot illumination into sleep mode after five minutes of inactivity, instantly reactivating it at the previous brightness setting when motion or vibration is detected, ensuring seamless operation and improv
  • Shock/Fog Proof. It is rain resistant, but not waterproof. Lenses are precision ground and Polished to exacting geometries to virtually eliminate Parallax and to provide a very clear, crisp sight picture
  • 4 MOA. 5 Illumination Settings. Powered by a lithium CR2032 battery(Included)
  • Why don’t I see a perfect round dot? Instead, I see a splashed dot, half-moon shape, multi dot, starburst etc. Answer: It is very likely (99% chance) you have astigmatism that you are not aware. What you see is a led light image reflected on the lens. One simple way to find out is to use your cellphone to take a photo of the dot. If you see a circle dot in the photo you took, you basically diagnosed you have Astigmatism(Because cellphone is a machine does not has human astigmatism).
  • Many users with astigmatism decide to continue to use the imperfect dot, or use a bigger MOA red dot such as 6MOA instead of 3MOA. Some users also see green dots better than red dots, it really depends on the individual case. Or users can use a totally different optics which is not a reflex sight such as a rifle scope.

This is a great optic for the money, I would definitely buy this again for a different gun. This optic is better for me than my Vortex Venom on my CZ 97b. The ADE green dot is extremely visible, the on/off button is in the center of the optic, above the barrel, not on the side above the slide serrations like the Vortex Venom. This means it’s really unlikely you’ll turn it on or off unintentionally, no matter how you carry it. This came zeroed perfectly, I matched it with a 9mm bore laser and I didn’t have to touch the elevation or windage screws.I have one minor caveat with this ADE green dot, but it’s tiny and I still give this 5/5 stars. I bought this to stick on my Glock 43x (non-MOS) it comes with a metal baseplate which screws into a mounting insert which sits under that, replacing the rear sight. My only issue is the metal insert which goes into the sight slot was far too large to fit without sanding it. The rear sight can be removed with a sight pusher, but the mounting insert is too low profile to install with the pusher (because the base plate has to screw into it from above and sit flat). So I had to install the insert with hammer and punch, but it was too large for the slot. It went about 25% of the way in and got stuck completely, I had to hammer it back out the opposite way.The insert is kind of triangle shaped with a flat top, I had to sand it on the 2 top two diagonal faces until it was bare metal. I just laid a piece of medium grit sand paper down and rubbed it manually, took like two minutes. You do have to be careful that you don’t take too much off or the base plate with optic will slide out. I had sandpaper, it took a couple of minutes, it fits perfect now, no big deal.So what does the Vortex Venom have for $220 that this doesn’t at $68.99? Not a lot to me. The Vortex and the ADE optic both have adjustable dot brightness settings. The battery cover of the Vortex Venom is on top of the optic, which is the only superior design element it has over the ADE optic. On the ADE you have to use an allen key on two screw which connect to the base plate, and remove the whole optic in order to access the battery (you dont have to remove the base plate or the sight insert.) To me this isn’t a deal breaker, dot optics use so little power and it’s really easy to take the 2 screws out of the base plate. Only other difference between the Vortex Venom and the ADE I’m aware of is the on off button. On the Venom the button is on the side where it can too easily be hit by accident. It’s still easily accessible on the ADE (front face, above barrel) but way less easy to hit by accident.Overall, I give this optic a 5/5 for my needs. The ADE has everything I need, and is literally 1/3rd the price of a Venom. A minor amount of sanding isn’t a big deal for me personally so it’s a nonissue.

Starters It was missing some plates and packaging was a total mess n looked like some had already returned it the screw drive was in its slot backwards and the bags of plates and screws were just jammed on top of the optic like it had been opened n re packedSecond thing is there is screws with stripped threads that is clear as day the optic plate has raw metal showing and bits of metal flashing or damage on itThirdly the elevation screws are all jacked up like a child tried to adjust the thing

For starters I originally received the product in a defective state but $60 you can’t really go wrong! With the replacement sent, it held zero very well with a 40 cal and 9mm. The glass is not the best or most durable, 300rds later it has cracked. Definitely useful/enjoyable for range fun but would not trust my life with it. The adjustment screws have a quite a bit of play in them as well. This would be great on a 22 or pellet gun, anything else, buy once, cry once lol

This was my first dot scope on a handgun, so I didn't want to tie up a lot of money in an expensive scope if I didn't like it. I was very impressed by the quality, fit and finish. The only issue I had and the reason for the 3 star for my "easy to install" is because of the mounting hardware provided with the mounting plate. The D1 plate works fine and was easy to install but the screws provided to mount the scope to the mounting plate are way to long. If you try to use these they will drive the mounting plate right off the gun. I'm going to contact ADE and see if they have shorter screws. If not I'll be on the hunt for shorter ones. It won't work as it is so.....plan for that until they correct the problem. Otherwise I'm super happy with the scope and I'm looking forward to trying it out.

It mounted onto my Glock 22, so that’s all matters to me. Have not tried it out yet.

Install was smooth, everything seemingly fit as it should. Happy with the brightness of the green dot and visibility. However, one major issue I’m having.. zero’d in with bore laser, after about 100 rounds I noticed my aim seemed off. Checked with laser and the green dot shifted significantly. Made the appropriate adjustments and it did it again.. This happened a few more times after going to the range off and on over the last year or 2 and I’ve finally figured I can’t rely on this. All screws have been removed and reinstalled with lock tight to ensure it wasn’t a loose screw and the same problem kept happening. After removing I can see damage to the slide where the baseplate is shifting.I wish I had an optic ready slide instead of the rear sight adapter. I gave it a try, just going with night sights moving forward instead of retrofitting
