I bought this for my fiancée and I to use at ski resorts to secure my skis and her snowboard. We looked at many options and configurations before purchasing this, and we couldn’t be happier with our decision. The price point is right, the cable is thicker than many compact ski or board cable locks, and the length and adjustability are perfect for our use. Because of the way the lock mechanism works the end of the cable is small enough for me to feed it through the holes where my bindings pivot, as well as through the heel gap of her snowboard bindings, and then use the long cable length to secure them both to a rack. I can then adjust the remaining cable length to whatever I need and lock it securely at that point. The mechanism is secure and does not slide along the cable once it is locked. I like having a combination as opposed to digging for a key in my ski gear or possibly losing it on the slopes. Of course a motivated person with bolt cutters could cut the cable, we use it for temporary security, and I think the cable is definitely large enough to deter someone with a set of wire cutters looking for a quick score. Once you get familiar with the functionality of the lock and sliding mechanism it is easy to use an manipulate to your needs at the time. Would recommend.

This is a good strong lock cable. I use it to secure my expensive helmet on my bike. It's also long enough to lock a few gas cans on the rack of my vehicle.

I use for locking two helmets to my BMW motorcycle by threading the cable through each and the handlebars. The coated wire doesn't scratch the tank, the adjustable cable length is perfect so I can use for one or two helmets. Locking mechanism is metal not plastic and very sturdy.

I used this cable lock to secure fishing poles and reels to boat riling at night. Long cable with small ball on end that fits through reel frames. Works good.

I use it to lock my helmet and riding jacket to my motorcycle and it works good as a deterrent for thieves.

I had a hard time turning the numerical dials on the lock as more than one dial would move but I only wanted one dial to move. I don't have overly large hands, I am 5'11', 215 lbs, wear size XL glove to give you a little bit of an idea about how big my hands are. Knowing what I know now that it is hard to more only one set of numbers, I probably wouldn't make this same purchase again if given the choice to do it again. If you have smaller fingers, you may not have any issues with this, lastly, I think this lock is a little too small to lock up kayaks or canoes like in the description. I would use this lock for smaller things like trail cams etc..., but not larger items.

Used this to lock up rifles in a display rack. Buddy came over and wanted to check one out and didn’t realize this cable was on them and he could budge the rifle off the rack. It was very easy to setup and quite adjustable. Great tool. Replaced 5 trigger locks with this and made room in the safe

Das Kabel wirkt sehr stabil und auch das Zahlenschloss fühlt sich sehr hochwertig an. In Bezug auf dessen Sicherheit fühle ich mich sehr wohl. Mein einziger Kritikpunkt ist, dass wenn das Kabel gespannt ist, man das Ende im Schloss halten muss bis man den Zahlencode verstellt hat, weil es sonst einfach wieder heraus rutscht. Eine Art Mechanismus in dem es fest einschnappt wäre von Vorteil. Ansonsten bin ich sehr zufrieden.

From the pictures, I was worried that this might be too bulky for travelling, but I think it's the perfect size. It easily rolls into a coil that's about 10cm (4").The cable thickness is much thicker than what seems to be in the retractable locks. It would be hard to cut with regular side cutters.The quality of the locking mechanism feels great.The lock mechanism can be passed through the loop so you can wrap the loop inside a suitcase or bag, then just pull out as much of the lock that you need to wrap around other suitcases or luggage racks on trains, etc.I found a cool feature. Usually, when it's locked, the lock doesn't slide along the cable, but if you press the "open" button after pushing the lock-ball into the lock, then change the combination after that, you can slide the lock along the cable.Overall, this is a super flexible lock with a reasonable cable thickness and fantastic design. It also feels like it will last.
