I play baritone saxophone and a shoulder harness is the only way to go! The one I was using was wearing out, so I ordered this to try it. It comes with a clip in the back to hook to the waistband of your pants, and I did not use it, but maybe I needed to because it would tend to slide down in the front, and I was often readjusting the strap to where I wanted it. I think it should work without that clip, because what if you wear a dress, overalls, or wear it over your uniform jacket - what are you going to clip it to? I will give this five stars because it is well-made and comfortable and easy to put on, but I did end up giving it away to a fellow section member because I was tired of readjusting as mentioned above..

The saxophone shoulders harness is helping me a lot to reduce the stress on my neck while playing. However, this specific harness has no extention strap to adjust the position of the saxophone mouthpiece to the player convenience .

I've had trouble with neck and shoulder stress and pain. I've tried several straps/harnesses to alieviate that stress. This one did it. The big difference is the strap in the back that clips to the rear side of the belt line. This transferes the force over the shoulders to the trousers, there is no "forward pulling" force. That said I did replace the original clips, which were too flimsy. I bought a set of suspenders and attached those clips. Very satisfied after this mod. It does take a bit getting used to the set up. Once adjusted I leave the right side front clip attached and slip it over, attach the left clip, and then attach the back side clips. Now I can focus on fine tuning those chops rather than the discomfort.

Shows it’s good for a bass guitar, but, yeah don’t waste money on it for a guitar or bass guitar, unless you want it to hang to your knees and you want to do modifications to your guitar.It’s just taking up space in a junk drawer at the moment.

I got this harness mainly for bari saxin the mail this morning and my first impressions are astounding in school I had one that was similar but my number one complaint was that it wasn't adjustable enough to accommodate my rather small stature with this bad boy no problem as for comfort when compared to most of the regular neck straps the difference is like wearing high heels (they are alright for a little while but eventually you just can't keep them on) and putting on a comfortable pair of tennis shoes that while maybe not looking the best they just fit you perfectly to sum it up my first impressions are flat out great and I'm excited to try it out for extended playing

This is a comfortable harness, but all the weight of the bari sax hangs on the metal hook which is causing an indent in the hook eventually lead it to break.

This was a very sub par product. I can't use it bc it the buckles don't clasp and work properly. Total waste of money.

am very satisfied with this product, i have tried other 3 different shoulder strap holders, this is a bit expensive but really worth the price
