A & E Systems 940001 awning pull strap was ordered as a replacement for an A & E Systems awning broken strap on my vintage 1998 camper. Luckily there has been no significant change in engineering design compared to the old strap and the strap installed effortlessly into the groove on the awning roller! The strap is well made of quality, heavy duty black ribbon like fabric and reinforced with rubber loop at the end that attaches to the awning pull down tool. I installed the new strap approximately one month ago. The strap is functioning properly with daily use. Would definitely recommend with confidence and would purchase again in the future!.

Perfect replacement for my application. It matched my original perfectly. I hope it lasts as long as the original because that one lasted over a decade.

These awning pull straps worked well. The keep the awning tight and in check when the breeze/wind comes in. I haven't tested them intentionally in heavy winds, but they have taken all they have received.

Very easy replacement! Slide right in the channel, fit great, works perfect. I will soon order another one so I have an extra on hand as this is a wear item that will eventually need replacing. For this price, might as well keep one in the camper.

Perfect replacement on my 2005 Mountaineer by Montana 5th wheel trailer. Easy to install and works great on the new canopy fabric I installed on my trailer.

Like many others, my old awning pull strap broke and it became a PITA to deploy the awning. I found this replacement on Amazon and it was just right. I have a standard manual RV awning so the length is plenty adequate and the loop is reinforced to stay open. I would definitely buy one again if needed.

The overall length of this Dometic awning strap model 940001 is 92 inches. The original (1988) awning strap was 85.5 inches. I replaced it with a new A&E Systems model 940001 awning strap (2024) that I had for many years as the original strap eye hook area was getting worn. The A&E strap is 91 inches long. It sticks out a little bit when the awning is rolled in. So even though the model # is the same the overall length differ slightly. I am going to keep the new Dometic strap as a spare.

Works great. Had previously purchased another brand that left ripples in the awning. This one does not.
