There are quite a few reasons why I love this product. It's made in the USA, which is a big plus for me. The size of the filter is perfect, and it has a low air flow resistance. It filters microscopic particles, helping to create a healthier environment in my home. It was also easy to install and is long-lasting, making it a cost-effective choice. Bonus points for the MERV 13 rating. This air filter truly combines quality and value!

Merv 13 is the highest rating for a residential filter but I was worried about flow restriction. No Issues at All with these. I can't believe how much crap this filter catches. Bought a magnetic filter slot cover to make it even more efficient. Have to change it a bit more often but for the price of these it's well worth every penny. A+++ product. I've used Merv 11 also but Merv 13 is our go to the past couple years and will stay with that. Allergies a big issue for our family and these help a lot.

After years of using the more expensive filters I took a chance on these to see how well they worked in comparison. So far I am impressed mainly because they do trap dust better. The Filtrete 1500 filters I was using may have cost more but they didn't catch dust like these. It's noticeably better on the surfaces in our home. These are a bit flimsy in construction compared to the others but they fit fine. I noticed right away the filter material is softer, less rigid, than the Filtrete and I think that is why they catch dust better. After 2 weeks of normal use I pulled the filter and was surprised how much it trapped. It wasn't that bad but I replaced it anyway. I highly recommend these for the cost conscious consumer.

I brought it because it's value for money and that it's sold by Amazon. I actually don't exactly what that means.I suppose it's cost-saving by the manufacturer so there's nothing useful printed on the filter other than the direction of airflow. There's no MERV rating on it so they can use the same size cardboard frame for different MERV filters. But why there is no Aerostar on it and a made-in USA logo? But it's not only Aerostar. I have another brand doing the same thing. So I suspect that Aerostar orders the cardboard housing from somebody else, puts the filter in, and assembles it themselves. So I doubt if everything is made in USA.I'm making a box fan filter cube so I ordered the 2 in thick version, stronger to hold up the fan. The pleats are very unevenly spaced. But that should work normally. The thing is at the end of the pleats it's loose. I don't know how they do it but apparently, it's not securely glued on anything. I think it relies on the fact that if you blow air through the filter with a grid supporting the back, the air isn't going to leak through the edges. Probably it doesn't but I have no way to test it.In comparison, the HEPA filters for car cabins and for portable air purifiers are more rigid, with the pleads securely glued into the filter frame. Some pleads are rigid like plastic.

I started using these furnace filters after prices nearly doubled on the brand had been using over the years. Although these are cheaper in cost i feel more confident that these filters are doing a much better job than the other name brand I was using. These filters are strong and pleated v we ry well. They do not bend at all when installing. Some furnaces are tough to get the filters into and will cause the filters to bend or crease in one of the corners...well not these! I have noticed a significant difference in dust in my home which has been a problem living in a new subdivision that still has tons of construction going on. I like that these come in a box that you can keep extras stored in keeps them safe from contamination. Overall these are amazing filters and will absolutely not let you down. True to size and filtration. Just buy them.

I have a wood stove that we run through the cold months just about every day. Despite my best efforts, every so often it gets smokey during reloading. I have an air quality monitor in the room, and can see the particulates reading spike whenever this happens. We used to open windows and air the place out, but I noticed that the particulate reading dropped super-fast when the oil furnace kicked on (with this filter installed). The next time some smoke came out I just ran the heater fan for a half hour, sending the air in the house through the filter. It cleared the particulates in very little time. Good stuff.
