I coupled these American Fishing Wire .096 diameter (600lb) Crimps with some AFW 600lb snap swivels and some AFW 600lb cable to make a bunch of monster leaders perfect for gator snagging.As a test I rigged a bar bell with 300lbs of weight and lifted the entire thing off the ground with my Penn Carnage CARJGII80200S60 rod rigged with a Penn SSV10500 real and 400lb test braided Dyneema line.The crimps worked perfectly.

Sticker shock on the crimping tool that is specified for these sleeves, so I squeezed the sleeves in a bench vise instead.Using sleeves with 1/8" wire rope thimbles and .105" diameter string trimmer line as permanent hauling line for wire dipole antennas. Tough, durable. Priced right for the application.

If you're looking for good round crimping sleeves, these certainly do the job. I've been using the AFW version on some stiff rigs I'm making for wahoo and other toothy gamefish. They do a fine job on both mono and cable. Just be sure to get the size right and squeeze the crimp firmly so that it presses the leader material against itself. Good strong connection.
