The description is incorrect.IT IS NOT HEATED, therefore, it does not heat up faster than other "electronic" lenses.FALSELY CLAIMS: AC or DC compatibility. It's not electric: AC is alternating current electricity. DC is direct current electricity.This is only a double lens. That part of the description they got right.

It been cold this winter here in maryland so I have been having some fogging problems with my helmet, so I bought this shield in hours it would help with that. Well it did, but there are a few drawbacks. First your vision through the shelf at night is pretty bad especially at night with oncoming traffic. The double lenses cause a lot distortion. I also wrote to afx four time trying to find out if this shield is approved for motorcycle use. They dodged that question repeatedly. I never did get a straight answer. So now I only use during the day, and only when it's really cold. And if you want to just crack the helmet open art a stop light or something for some fresh air, three desk between the two lenses is directly in your way. With all that said it does stop the fogging but there are a few trade offs, and I'm not even certain if safe for motorcycle use.
