You shall find this windscreen to be very effective in all conditions.Small but mighty this little guy easily packs into its own little sock and seems to keep stray winds at a bay.Excellent accompaniment to any alcohol stove to cut down on prolonged boils.Size and weight do provail in this product as it should.

DIY foil screen or this hinged panel screen both are very effective in shielding the wind and trapping the heat when using alcohol stoves.

This is reasonably well made considering it has to be lightweight for backpacking. Depending on the surface you set it up on, it's could be a little fiddly to set up but certainly less trouble than trying to make an aluminum foil windbreak. One caveat though.... READ the specifications carefully before purchasing. It may be too short to shield the wind depending on the height of your campstove. On my SVEA 123 it's a little short.

This item has no dimensions given anywhere on the Amazon item page. As a result, the item is too short to block wind for a small gas bottle and solo stove. The item came in a blister pack so I could see the item but I never opened or used it. It is light weight and looks well made but it just doesn't work for my stove setup.The back of the packaging says the item is 5.5" tall with 9 - 2.75" wide sections. The manufacturer and Amazon should list the dimensions for this item

Got it. Tested. Works really well. Dropped it in the underbrush and it was easy to locate. Something to consider: if you are using a gas canister, it might be useful to keep a bit of the screen open, so that the canister does not over heat and go boom. Never seen that happen, but some old camping dudes told be to be careful because of that. Seems plausible. Still a terrific product.

It was way too short for what I wanted it for, wind screen for my twig stove and butane gas burner stoves.
