I have a cellar with aged bottles. Old corks can split. This is simple and well-made. Work exactly as it should on broken and split corks.

It works for wine that has somewhat bad corks. The corkscrew holds the cork in place while forked part goes into the sides of the cork and is used to pull the cork out without splitting it. I use it on a 1982 Bordeaux and it worked just fine,

When uncorking an old vintage of wine, often times the cork may have softened and easily breaks or rips with a standard corkscrew. This Ah So opener makes it easy to extract the cork in one piece. It is actually a combination of a regular screw and a traditional Ah So. I like the combination since sometimes it is hard to get traditional Ah So into into the bottle without pushing the cork down into the bottle. This is solved by inserting the screw part first so the the cork is held in position while to As So is inserted. Also, the combination of the screw and Ah So grips the cork in the middle and sides to increase your chances of a clean extraction and not having the Ah So slipping out. This product is a nice, substantial weight and looks nice. It has a functional bottle opener in the handle as well.

Si bien es un sacacorchos para botellas con muchos años y no de uso diario, este da una nota de refinamiento, ¿que mejor sacacorchos que este para una botella que hemos estado durante tanto tiempo?.Pongo en comparación el sacacorchos de horquilla que tenÃa para esos corchos tan complicados de extraer. A partir de ahora cuando saque una botella especialmente antigua tendré a mano este sacacorchos con mucha mas clase y refinamiento.Puede ser un buen regalo para alguien que le guste el vino o tenga especial gusto en los complementos gastronómicos. Muy bonito.
