  • Premium Material: The threaded inserts for 3D printing are made of high quality brass, extremely sturdy, not easy to break or deform, also can withstand high temperature above 300°C / 572°F. Excellent thermal conductivity also makes your 3D printer to work more effectively.

These heat inserts work pretty reliably for me if you build or buy a tool to insert them. I have so far used them successfully in PLA and resin (not resin printed but "resin cast"). In the case of the resin cast objects they do sometimes want to come out, and if tear out occurs you can simply use hot glue to seal one end of the drilled out hole, refill it with resin, let it cure, redrill, and reinsert the fitting without problems.

These work pretty well I printed holes for them with a 3.25mm drill, 3.25mm depth. Then at the top I widen the drill hole to 3.6mm for a depth of 0.75mm. That lets you place them by hand and have them sit in place before melting them in.

These are so cool! Super simple to include in a print, just leave an empty cylinder in the print surface (I had great results with a hole 3mm deep and 3.8mm across). Then heat a soldering iron and press fit. They stick really solidly into the print, to the point I think it's more likely the print itself would break before the insert comes loose. I'm going to find excuses to use these every chance I get.

What can I say they work well and they are nicely priced. Naturally, I use a tool sold on Amazon that fits my soldering iron so the installation is seamless.
