Work Great for Fermenting Vegetables & Wine

  • When an airlock bubbles, it simply means that the air pressure inside the bucket or carboy is sufficiently high to push up the little column of water and relieve the pressure.
  • If it fails to bubble, all it means is that the pressure within the fermenter isn’t high enough to make it do so. This can easily happen if the lid isn’t fully closed, or if the seal isn’t perfect.

Used some old whiskey bottles to start some brews I use a 3/8 bit but had to widen a bit more after that to get it to fit but once it fit I had no issue with the airlock. It's been very useful. Also used this airlock on a 1 gallon apple juice to start a cider. Only issue with that was the plastic gallon was easily squeezed so you have to put the gallon in its final location then put the airlock after. This has no issue at all with how the airlock set works. This product is overall good to use rather than buying 1 gallon wide or narrow mouths for $10 more or less each. I'll buy again when I make more room.
