If your building a automatic curing bucket or jar then these work well. Just like fermenting veggies, the herbs require regular burping. You Def need a 1 way valve and hosing on the air intake side which is hooked to air pump. But on the outtake side this works great and makes things much neater. Eliminate unnecessary hosing and another check valve. It said 11 pieces but they sent 12! The quality and craftsmanship is excellent.
