AKLOT CAJON DRUM BOX
Cajon,originally meant as a wooden box or drawer, it is a box-shaped wooden percussion instrument.It makes a sound by tapping the thin sheet on the front of the wooden box.The sound is similar to a jazz drum.
Aklot cajon drum is equipped with snare guitar strings to create resonance and produce a sound similar to jazz drums.
Two Sets of Snares
It has two sets of snares that beneath the soundboard which could produce a “ snare” “buzz-like” effect when the front soundboard is beaten, like a snare drum, and bring more effect to your show
Adjustable Sanares
The snares of this Cajon are can be tuned, or can be tightened and loosen, to acquire different snare effect, make your show more interesting.
Soft Rubber Feet
The rubber feet are to isolate the vibrate and interference which come from the ground and make the Cajon sound clear, and the rubber feet will increase the balance when you till it up for comfortable playing, and it also will keep stable on the carpet.

I was looking for a percussion instrument for my husband who likes music and I decided on this option, excellent purchase. The size is perfect, it is made of resistant material, it supports the weight of an average adult (my husband is 200 pounds) it has a very good sound and its wood generates good acoustics. He loved it and so did I!

Drum sounds great, good value for money spent. A little much snare but its adjustable enough to make it sound nice. Arrived with a rather unsightly dent in the wood, top edge on one of the sides, so packaging leaves a little to be desired. Very nice size, and the travel bag is a plus.

As always Aklot delivers a quality beginners instrument to my home. I have personally purchased this brands Ukulele Bass, Ocarina, and now this amazing Cajon Box. The wood quality is really nice, the sound is very pleasing, and the price doesn't make you hurt after purchasing.Anytime I personally want to learn a new instrument, I always check to see if Aklot sells one first. They are a great company that cares and has proven that in the past when contacting them. Overall:>This cajon is made of birch.>Comes with a simple but nice padded case.>There is a hex key inside the cajon (I would remove it from the interior slot)>The snare is taped down and can be removed if needed.(If you are going to adjust the snare, you must remove the tape first.)>The wood is perfectly finished and has 4 rubber feet.>The ‘tapa’ and cajon were varnished together. So, it might be a little hard to remove/ adjust the tapa if that is what you want.Sound:It has a good sound; I left the snare taped down… but if you want the full snare sound, you can remove the tape and adjust the tension on the strings. If you want something more powerful you can remove the guitar strings and attach metal drum snares. You could also switch to using a BRC04 brush pad.Is it for Practice? Gig? Or Professional?Well, this is a smaller cajon (10 inch) than the usual 12 / 14 inch. So, I would say that this is more of a practice cajon / learning cajon. OR if you have kids or teens this would be the perfect size for them.Is it worth it?At ~ $89, it is not a bad value (you get the cajon, case and hex key.) Knowing that this might be bought for a total beginner, I do wish there was a small note / or manual explaining what to do with the key and tape. If you buy it as a practice cajon like I did, it will be much cheaper than the other practice cajons out there which are 1/5 the size of this one.Cheers!

Delivered on time with the secured packaging.This cajon box was great ang fantastic not really big but its good for begginer amatuer and professional. I like the design with wooden skin. There is 4 snares inside that you can adjust using allen wrench that comes on the cajon and you find it inside. You can have a different effect on it by adjusting the snare. The rubber feet can help for clear sounds to avoid the vibration of the cajon everytime you used so you gonna have a stable sounds. Its comes with gig bag so you can easily carry wherever you want to go for travel.
