You need this if you want to mount the Control Pad on a drum rack or stand. Alesis includes the mounting screws to some of their other pieces so you can use the slightly cheaper Roland mount, but.........Alesis does not include the screw on the new Control Pad (and they're metric) so if you want to mount the Control Pad on a stand then get the Alesis mount because it COMES WITH THE SCREWS to attach it.I gave it four stars because the price on this is very high for what you get, it's a 5-cent piece of molded plastic and four screws for an outrageous price IMO, but I guess it's a small market, it's no wonder at this price point. Still, the mount does hold the unit well and I needed it, I'm glad Alesis offers it so I could have it mount cleanly and solidly to our studio drum rack. I love the Control Pad and the Sample Pad, both great additions to a recording setup.Good luck and good music to all.

Me gustó mucho el clamp, anteriormente usaba de otro tipo pero el acomodar el multipad era a veces difÃcil, con este clamp me resuelve ese tema, es algo caro pero lo vale por el beneficio.
