The pieces are beautiful to the ear and are well arranged by Allan Small to be playable by the student using the other Alfred's lesson books. Each piece lists which lesson it may follow, so if your pianist has completed a particular song in their lesson book then they have all the needed skills to play the piece. This book, where they are employing recently mastered skills, adds a great deal of enjoyment to the learning pianist.My young pianist loves playing well known pieces and finds a great deal of satisfaction in playing pieces where she is not having to master a new skill. These selections sound great, impress the grandparents, and are more enjoyable than the lesson book, if they are attempted AFTER the suggested point in the lesson book.For Non-Alfred's families, these would still be a good addition for the intermediate pianist as the pieces are very well arranged for the developing pianist. They are long enough to feel full while being short enough to master in a week's interval, the normal time span for piano lessons.

I have enjoyed playing famous songs like symphony 40. This is a great book that I'd recommend to anyone that likes a book full of piano pieces your level that you, your teacher, and your audience enjoys.

I saw this book online when ordering the standard Alfred piano books. My son enjoys playing the additional songs provided in the book.

I bought this book for a student who wanted to play Clair de Lune. Beautiful piano arrangement that was accessible for her. The repertoire in this book is pleasing and motivating to students. I do not teach out of this series, but out of the Faber series. These Arrangements would be doable, and a healthy challenge for very motivated or older students in level 2B or level 3A and 3B. Perfect for recitals. I wouldn't recommend pursuing it for younger students in those levels, but would work for any age student at a level 4. Although I prefer the pedagogy of the Faber method, the repertoire and selection of the Alfred supplemental books is often more pleasing.

Kaft ziet er tweedehands uit. Van binnen is het gewoon wit A4 papier ipv het mooie, dikke papier dat de Nederlandse versie heeft.De muziek is gewoon hetzelfde natuurlijk, maar kwalitatief wel echt iets mindere kwaliteit.
