I used two of these, one each on the drop-down door to the nesting boxes of the Chicken Coop, wanted to make sure they are racoon proof. Not installed as they show them in the pictures, as I top mounted the small hinge with the lock on the box door. But works perfect, the four stars for sturdiness are likely because the way in which I mounted them, didn't get it perfectly lined up on one of the locks so it snags a bit but still functions fine.

Good design but latch is thin and not going to resist being broken into. The hardware as usual with most things was OK but I used my own. It serves it's purpose but don't expect it be Fort Knox.Didn't last long, becomes brittle with ice and cold. Broke off the lock with pliers trying to turn it. Disappointed.

We use this on our patio gate and we park out back and cone in and out about 5 to 8 times a day. This is still working well and in rain as well. For 16bucks is Worth it. I NEVER GIVE 5 STARS. THIS IS 5 AND I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS.
