Great sturdy dicer, chopper. It should stand up to the test of time. Very easy to use without a lot of effort to use the lever. I’ve gone through many plastic choppers so, decided to invest in this more costly one. So far, so good.

I've used vegetable choppers for a while, but I've had problem with the plastic ones cracking. This one is starting here and actually cuts better; however, the nuts and bolts holding this together often fall off in the dishwasher. I've been able to find them, but I've had to stop washing the base in the dishwasher because that was the problematic piece.

Make sure you have Kevlar gloves, if no gloves, watch out for the edges of the frame since they are sharp too. I used the chopper part only and found that I ended up with little cuts on the tips of my fingers on my predominate hand. It does a great job dicing. I have ordered Kevlar gloves for next time!

After using many of those plastic ones over the years, and having them all break (because they are cheap plastic), finally one with great promise. We like finely cubed middle eastern style vegetable salads. And this one is the first one I can say yes to. You do have to prep if you want fine cubes instead of big chunks. But if you are making a large salad for 6-8 people, this really saves time. The above picture is not really fine, more like medium, but I was to impatient to wait. And, it does work for tomatoes, at least for me. I used firm cherry tomatoes. I am sure I can use firm meaty regular tomatoes too. I did not this buy for the mandolin, and I have not tried it. One tiny weeny little thing, right out of the box - the legs on the chopper were all loose. I tightened them. They came loose again after I finished chopping. I will ask my husband to use some of his elbow grease when.he gets home. That should do it.This is the longest and most enthusiastic review I have ever written in my 68 years, so that is telling you something. If I find any problems, or if any issues come up, I will update. I expect to get a ton of use out of this, and it will.have a permanent home on my counter next to the kitchen aid. (This is when my kids say "you're over sharing mom".)

I was looking for a chopper more durable than plastic aletrnatives and this one works really great, industrial style helper. Though, the tray was deformed after the first cycle in dishwasher. I don't know if the chopper itself can be placed in the dishwasher.

Really sturdy and sharp. Originally I bought an item with plastic as the handle chopper which rested on the collection box and the collection box just shattered under the pressure of chopping potatoes, so had to return for a refund. Bought this one and although it took a while to be delivered, it's a great product and I would highly recommend. The collection box is strong and the cutting blades appear sharp.

You will not be disappointed. I’ve had it for about a month and have used it many times already. It works very well. Has different dicing size inserts which is very easy to switch out. The mandolin pieces also very easy install.Easy to clean with brush and tool included.I had a plastic version that was nothing compared to this quality and durability.I am happy with it and foresee using it for many years.

Worried that similar plastic devices would break, I invested in this Steel Mando.Love the slicing tool for making big portions of fresh coleslaw and the dicer for my hubbyâ€s favourite Eastern European cubed salads in a flash (all that dicing used to take forever!)A great device to encourage more fresh fruit and veg into the menu.Easy to clean, robust item
