About this item

  • Widely Application: The electric fence tester can only be used to test standard duty, low impedance electric fences. You can use it checking power on the electric fence around the garden, small enough to carry in a pocket
  • Easy To Use: The electric fence voltage checker can test voltage levels on your fence line and fence controller, finding fence faults. Hook the metal loop on top to the wire, stick the probe in the earth. Just hang it on the fence and stick the probe in the ground under the fence
  • Neon Lamps, Not LED: The electric fence voltage tester, neon lamps indicates voltage levels from 0.6kv to 7kv (600 volts to 7000 volts). It uses neon bulbs, not LEDs to show voltage, neons are durable and can handle thousands of volts, much easier to read in shade or in evening light
  • Dim Lights And Neon Principle: The electric fence testers have a pulse low voltage wire fence, make sure the wires are not touching anything metal by using plastic insulation to attach wires to your fence posts. The tester does not use batteries, and thus works on the principle of the fence high voltage exciting a neon bulb. As such, the light will never be bright, due to the technology of the bulbs. You CAN use it in sunlight, please kindly use your hand to shade the lights and it did the trick-- they will NOT be bright, but they ARE visible. Keep one on hand for regular fence line maintenance
  • Tips Before Use: ALLOSUN fence tester can be matched to any animal control situation, offering both budget and design flexibility. You got to remember not the hits that touch the poly wire before you test. It is recommended to verify the tester's operation by measuring a known electric fence before use. Low voltages may be the issue that not being able to see the lights in bright sunshine

Product Description

From time to time, you will encounter voltage drops or face grounding issues along your fence line. When this happens, having a fence tester, also known as a voltage meter or voltage tester, is needed to identify your fence problem.

You Need A Fence Tester !!!

It’s important to buy a fence tester when you install your electric fence. If your fence is already up and running, and you don’t have a tester, then it’s time to get one.

For your purchase, get a voltage tester specifically designed for reading the energy from an electric fence. Unlike other voltage meters, fence testers are designed for easy use on electic fencing.

GK503B FENCE TESTER

GK503B Neon Fence Tester

The neon lamp tester for fence uses neon lamps to indicate voltage produce on a fence line or by a fence controller.

It is designed for low impedance and standard duty fence controller.

The fence has electrical problems.

The voltage under test is less than 2000V.

  • Remove the test hook from the fence and the probe from ground.

GK503B Fence Tester

Many horse lovers and ranchers employ electrified pasture fences to confine their livestock. An electric pasture fence is designed to deliver a non-lethal shock to an animal.

It is actually a form of protection for horses and cattle. Better for them to be startled by a sudden electric jolt than to wander onto a highway and be killed.

To be certain that an electrified fence is doing its job, it must be tested periodically to make sure that there are no breaks in the wire and that the voltage level is high enough.

Provided you have the proper equipment, it's a relatively easy chore to!

This fence tester works really well giving the user an accurate measure of how powerful their fence is. Yes the lights are not bright enough to see in bright sunlight, but if you simply cover it with your hat or a piece of cardboard or aper, you can see is easily. When its cloudy or early or late in the day, the lights are very bright and easily seen and interpreted. The cord to the ground electrode is long enough to test the top wire on almost any fence. I am totally happy with this tester and see no real reason to spend more money on anything else. Buy and use with confidence.

Get American Farm Works 8-Light Electric Fence Voltage Tester 3.1 (108) Item # 121325099. Much better product. This tester didn't read anything while the American Farm Works 8-Light Electric Fence Voltage Tester 3.1 (108) Item # 121325099 gave me my normal reading... and that's with a missing metal probe... I exposed the wires and pushed them into the ground.

Well, the instructions were pretty much useless. I just used common sense and put the ground rod in the ground and the tester on the hot wire. It has multiple lights for different voltages. I'm guessing it is supposed to light up next to whatever voltage it is. But when I put the tester on the hot wire, ALL of the lights flash. Maybe my fence is putting out more shock than the tester is meant for? Who knows. It flashes, so technically it's telling me that it's atleast works. I wouldn't buy this if you're looking to find the exact voltage of your fence. But if you just want something to tell you that your fence works, this does a good enough job.
