The listing stated it was USA made, but I could find no reference to that. Still looking for that, I tried talking to the vendor, but they don't even know where it comes from... How does one keep a job without knowing the product??? The tap worked superbly! They are titanium coated and that's a good thing too. Perhaps they are from Europe. The quality appears to be better than the average chinese cr-a-p. At around $13 including free Prime shipping the price was right and it got here quick. Many other vendors were a lot more and they were definitely cheap chinese stuff... Regardless, I recommend these taps (and dies if they make them).

Play this tap in reverse and it makes things happen inside holes. It cuts nice little threads in steel, aluminum, and really hard ice or plastic. You gotta use a LHT bolt after that because this tap only cuts LHT. Real uni-tasker here, but it does it with such resolve.

I bought this and a 3/4" tap to use in my work restoring a few olf Ford tractors. They worked well for cleaning up old threads. I have not triedthem on a new tao or die job, but the sure help clead up the rust and thread damage during instalation. These were hard to find locally and I sure if I would have found them the cost would have been much higher. I am happoy with this purchase.

The RH tap was meh, but usable, LH is junk. Hooked over teeth causing thread to be completely cut away like a boring bar rather than a tap. Ruined a $50 piece of material.

This tap is very good quality. It is for bottom tap holes but I used it successfully as a started tap by starting the process in a drill press to keep it square to the hole. Overall very happy with the thread cut and performance. Price was fair and quality was excellent.

Wantted to make my 4 link bars double end ajustable, and this tap did a excelent job of cutting the new LH threads in my 4 link rods. I just had to prep the inside with a 11/16 bitt and start tapping. I used alot of cutting oil and took my time cleaning the tap ofton. Now I can ajust the pinion angle easyily. I would have shown pics but I have 2 diferent formats that I use everywhere but Amazone you cant
