Finding a pickup for my 1960's vintage Royal Artists bass guitar was difficult. Because it is a hollow body bass, the pickup requires ears to be mounted under a cover plate. This pickup was not a fit for the original cover plate, but it did fit in the hole cut in the body. I fabricated a temporary cover plate from some cardboard. Not only does the pickup sound great, it is on a 45mm "1st to 4th" string separation, which is perfect for the bass. I am using a 57mm bridge and the 1st and 4th strings hang off of the fretboard close to the body. No regrets. An excellent value.

I haven't heard these yet but we hen I get the. In and wired up after I get my bass repainted I will let you guys know I like the silver steel color so hopefully these sound bright and poppy like yhey said a o hope there good and poop sounding like they say they are Che as p but the build quality appears to be good let's just hop e the ad ound is as good as the d ound quality.

This pickup has Duncan plates on the bottom of them. They are meant to be replacements for the bridge position of a Gibson EB-3 bass but this one is punchy and loud. I put three of them in a semi acoustic rockabilly bass because the original ones were weak and feeble. These bad boys certainly do the trick. Great value and old school vibes.

Several things are out of place on the webpage specs. First off, this is NOT a Seymour Duncan pickup, as far as I can tell without popping the chrome cover that soldered on. The brass base has the S.D. logo but that's all you can see. If this was an authentic S.D. pickup, it'd go for at least $100 new. 2nd, the resistance specs are totally wrong. the 2 pickups I got measured 7.6k each. The webpage says 10.9k & 10.2k. They don't come in a set so how can you buy one or the other? How can they get this so wrong? 3rd, the webpage specs say it's has ceramic magnets, then in the same sentence it says it's alnico. Won't be able to determine that until I install them which will be this coming weekend. I'll update my review once I do. Typically, ceramic magnets have a warm, old school tone for bass. Alnico's are brighter, clearer & cut through. More to come.

I was trying to refurbish an old bass and needed a pickup that would fit in the hole that the original one was in. I didn't want to spend a lot because I really didn't know what I was doing. This pickup is slightly smaller than the original, but I made it work easily. I would recommend it to anyone who is on a budget like I was.

I think this is an un branded SD made pup. It has the SD emblem on the brass bottom plate, its heavy and thick. And make a ton of sound. I had to drop it way down to get it under control.Good stuff

The delivery time was lightening and the price was good . The pick up comes with a basic single lead containing a live and an earth wire . Adjustment screws and springs are included . The humbucker is designed for a four string bass . However l had in mind that it was just the job for a little fun guitar made from various spare and homemade parts that l'd put together for the Grandchildren. With the tone knob rolled up the sound is very bright . With the tone off and the volume up the Alnicov burbles with rumbling character . A pleasing result sound wise and the chrome pickup cover combined with a home made made copper surround also gives a bit of class to what is a budget item fitted to a guitar project.
