Works very well:This boat works great and is a lot of fun. Salt water, fresh water, whatever. It can takes light waves very well and was perfect speed and fun for an 8-year-old (and myself too). The boat does intake a smal lbit of water, not sure if I lost a seal or not, but it's never enough to be concerning and we just let it dry out after each use and it is fine. The battery has pretty good duration too. Definitely the boat to get if looking for one in this price range. We've had it for well over a year know and it continues to operate as good as new.Awesome customer service:The first boat malfunctioned. It couldn't steer out of the box fully--but when backing up it'd turn a bit to one side and we thought we'd drive it parallel to the shore just for a minute since it was his birthday and I didn't want to leave without him driving it just for a few seconds. This was a dumb idea. At one point I accidentally pressed the figure 8 button and, since the steering was broken, the boat sped off into the sea! Eventually I figured out how to stop it but it was far out by that point. Despite several desperate attempts of going back and forth to creatively get it back it only went farther and farther out and eventually got out of sight. I had no pictures or evidence and no boat to return--but they quickly replaced it. They definitely didn't have to do that.

These liile boats work well and the grandchildren have lots of fun with them. They manuver very well and are very responsive to the remote control. I recommend this product.

We fully charged both batteries, and my son had a lot of fun on the first battery charge. We live on a large lake and geese are a problem for us, he even got to chase some of them which was exhilarating. Unfortunately on the second charge things went very badly… just about 5 minutes into it with the boat only about 20 feet away, my son complained that the boat stopped and wasn’t responding to the controls. I tried the controls myself, and sure enough it was just dead on the water without any warning beeps like the first battery gave us. My poor son cried as we helplessly watched it float away to a watery demise.UPDATE: The seller graciously sent a new unit, which has worked perfectly for us. Unfortunately we moved off of the water so we haven’t been able to use it as much anymore, but this is a great boat and lots of fun!

Bought the the larger AlphaRev a few years back and absolutely love it. Was hoping the mini would be just as good and I could get two for a little more than a single large, then the kids don’t have to take as many turns sharing and we all win.As soon as I connected the battery, the boat did its boot up beep and the LEDs came on. Was surprised at this because my other boat’s lights only come on in the water. Turned in the remote, let it connect and tested the trigger. The prop started spinning immediately. Was not happy about this since the water contact was a nice safety for the kids. Two star loss because of safety.Got the boat into the water. Kids thought it was going too slow, so I adjusted the speed dial. Minimal uptick. Far slower than advertised. Full star gone.The boat requires a lot of steering trim adjustments because the battery weight leaves it tilting to one side. Wasn’t an issue on the larger boat. The battery life was much less than stated, which was a huge let down for the kids. This version also lacks an inner cover as extra watertight protection. All together, another star gone.Really hope this was bad luck on my part because I really enjoy the larger version, but this experience has left me wondering if the quality there has dropped as well.

I wanted to give these a five star cause I really enjoyed these. They’re actually a lot of fun in the swimming pool. Unfortunately, one of the turning fins broke and when I called customer service, I got no help. So Barb beware by the product you enjoyed if it breaks you have no customer service.
