Power Supply Mode - Battery

The Laser Collimator is powered by one CR2032 battery (Not Included). When the laser beam starts to dim or completely fades, it’s time to replace the battery. To do so, unscrew the knurled battery compartment cap at the top of the collimator, lift the expired battery out. Insert a fresh CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side up. The CR2032 is a commonly used battery in watches, calculators, cameras, and other electronic devices, so you’ll be able to find one at most hardware stores or online.

Collamation of the laser was spot on right out of the box. Then took about 10 minutes to collimate my reflector scope. Works just like it's supposed to.

Unit came properly collimated from the factory, I did not need to make any adjustments. The laser is bright and a nice spot, not oblong. I was able to collimate my 4.25" f/10 reflector in a couple minutes (it was way off). I repeated the process by removing and reinstalling the collimator and it was right on target so it is repeatable. It seems well built and a good value.

Unfortunately it worked once then after that is really frustrating. I tried everythung to make it work…! I’ve changed the battery many times and as soon as u put the battery on it workes for literally 30 seconds and go off as if its eating the batteries - too bad I lost the window to return!!

Like any other laser collimator, this is a wobbly one so even after aligning the mirrors, real time alignment is required. For some reason, it's pointer is not round but squary.Don't forget to add the battery in your cart as well, this one does not come with any inside.

This is the second collimator I bought and this one does not have a skew like SVBONY crap.Alstar collimator works very well on my Celestron AstroMaster 130EQ telescope. You, however need to collimate it with other methods before using laser one, as it is for more precise corrections rather than full collimation. Use cheshire eyepiece first.
