I bought this replacement for my canon M200 and I think it works better than the original. It’s an amazing replacement for the price.

The cap part works very well, better than the original Canon in one sense but not another. I've had the Canon caps fall off because I didn't get them installed properly (one advantage of the Canon cap, though is that when it does fall, so far it always lands outside-down). With these caps, the threads engage more easily, and a quick tug on the cord ascertains that they won't fall off. On the other hand, the finger-gripper recesses are not as well designed as the Canon ones, and your fingers tend to slip out more easily, requiring you to bear down harder when either installing or releasing the cap. What I can't figure out is exactly how to use the cord to hold the cap while shooting. No part of the cord is elasticized; it's just a loop of about 4" (10cm) in diameter. It's too long simply to loop over the lens once; it would likely fall off. It's too short to use that method that is hard to describe in words-I think it's called a saddle-girth tie off--where you loop it over your hand, reach through and grab the other two ends just by the lens cap, and pull through so you have a double loop that can be looped over the barrel and then tightened. That won't work because the only place on the barrel that isn't either the zoom ring or focusing ring is back by the base where it's too far away. I'm thinking of cutting a 1/4" bolt down to where I can tighten it in the tripod socket and looping the cord around that. I may have to cut one end of the cord to get it to reach to the end of the long lens, especially with a hood on it. I tried a simple double loop around the zoom ring. It works ok, but I don't like the idea of trying to frame a shot just right with that thing flopping around against my hand. But that seems to be the only way to make it work easily.

I lost my original canon lens cap for my 24-105 lens. Instead of buying one from Canon at a very high price, I opted for these that include a string so I hopefully don't lose these. They fit perfectly and no worries about losing them.

A. I am an Amazon junkie ever-reliant on reviews! B. I buy almost all my camera equipment here as it just a bit cheaper than B&H (love ya B&H but Amazon has ya by a few bucks almost every time which has to date, spelled hundreds in savings). C. In direct correlation with both points A and B, I'm going to use this forum to say a few words about Goja and my experiences with their products. There are certain things I have learned not go cheap on and others that are just silly not to. These caps have no operational influence on your camera and work no different from the name-brands. I will admit that I cannot testify to their longevity as I've only been using them for a very short while. But, if they continue to perform as they have, they are, as the title declares- a no-brainer! I actually bought a couple extras just to be safe but...they are inexpensive enough to do so.On a side note: provided he is being sincere, another impressive factor regarding the purchase of Goja products is Walter the president includes a note with instructions to email him personally if you are inclined to leave anything less than a 5 star rating for any reason. As for me, I have a few Goja products and have yet to file a complaint. In a large nutshell- are there better, higher-end products out there? Yes, way better! (sorry Walter!) If you're apprehensive about spending large when in the infancy of a new hobby, should you purchase Goja? Sure. (The reason I say "sure" and not ABSOLUTELY! is, for me photography is turning into a full-time hobby/obsession and because I initially purchased some inexpensive gear to save money, in the long run I will have spent more because I am finding myself upgrading everything). In a smaller nutshell: Goja products can be quite reliable for the part-time enthusiast. If you're serious, I have to say- CRY ONCE and spend large on items that influence the end product of your efforts.
