I build a variety of free standing cabinets, and painting them has always been a drag.This works really well for various parts, such as shelves, tops, and smaller cabinet cases.I have a smallish piece of 3/4 plywood on it and then put the item to be painted on the plywood. Being able to spin the items around to paint edges and sides is so much easier.

I like this one because there's no corners on it, making it slimmer and also the screw heads aren't spinning over eachother so there's not the worry of screw head clearance. It also has less play in the wiggle than the more popular style. As it is, you can use it with the rubber "feet", making it convenient but not permanent. But my favorite feature is that you can pop any rubber pad out to reveal a countersunk hole for an average wood screw. 4 that will face one way on the outer ring and 4 that face the opposite direction on the inner ring.

Quality piece,very well made we used it as a swivel base on an antique basket on our kitchen island. Very easy to install and heavy duty.

I made a thin, 12†lazy susan. It’s pretty light weight and is rather stiff to rotate. Putting washers on the underside of the mechanism helped by keeping it off the wood surface, but it still does not rotate as easily as I’d like. Oiling the bearings didn’t seem to have much effect.
