This is a simple part - its just a 4" backer for an angle grinder - but its completely rigid and flat.For many purposes, that wouldn't be ideal but for flattening surfaces and polishing with a segmented polishing pad, its great.There were a few sharp burrs on the threaded hub but nothing a single swipe with a file didn't fix.It's neatly machined and solidly built.

converted my bench grinder to use backing pad.it works really well for flat grinding the parts, lot better option than using the stone grinder..

Like the feel and weight of this backer. Seems like decent aluminum and threads on just fine. Has the hook and loop for your hook and loop needs. Standard 5/8"-11 threading that fits most grinders, sanders, buffers, etc. Keep in mind the 4" diameter. Overall, happy with this pad.
