Markings rubbed off both Alvin scales I had.The first after one month and the second aluminum one after the first use! I've used scales on my job for 40 years. No other brand has ever done this.

I like this scale. I have used scales just like this for work for years. The only issue with this one is that the numbers eventually rub off. That's not the case with wooden scales which are partially engraved.

This is both adorable and so practical. This little 4 inch ruler has engineering gradations on it – so your subdivisions are 10 to the inch, 20 to the inch, 30, 40 50, and 60 to the inch. I don’t normally need the highest level of precision for my drawing, but it’s excellent to have it there just in case.One thing I particularly like is since this is one of the triangle style engineering rulers, there really is no way to accidentally bend it out of flat no matter how much you may mishandle it. So this is a perfect little ruler to pack in your drawing kit. It really does most of what I would ever need a ruler and straight edge to do, and it does it in a way that I can always have it with me instead of finding out I left something important at home.I’ve had some triangular rulers and metal straight edges that I’ve loved in the past, but this one is my new favorite because it’s just so incredibly cute and so practical and so portable. It’s a wonderful ruler.
