Let me explain. Start with a base Toyota factory radio, add a 2 channel mid price active LOC, feed signals to a pair of Crescendo Audio amplifiers, mix in proven component speakers and a single 12 inch sub.Result: Just OK. Mids were lacking, highs were fatiguing, sub bass was muddy. None of the elements were working together.Solution: Add a quality EQ with 7 bands of equalization and subwoofer controls over frequency and volume and place it between the LOC and the amplification.End result: Remarkable, dynamic and detailed. Dare I say: concert-like. Clearly, the factory radio with rudimentary controls coupled with a so-so Line Output Converter needed the EQ to wake up the system.Don't hesitate to integrate this EQ into your next system.

Really nice, I can't say that sound is better or worse that clarion, bass seems to kick more. The independent bass knob is a obvious step up from clarion. Voltage meter is nice as well, build quality is great and it looks really good.Update; The volt display has stopped working, not sure why, probably a less than ideal ground.

If you want to wake up, your speakers get this, it will make them so loud so clean very happy with it

Great unit! took off one star for the weak connector snapped right off, Had to solder my power, ground and remote wires directly to the board.

This sound processor is amazing and the voltage display helps a lot. Each tuning knob shows the adjusted frequency on the screen as well.

I love it. I hate it.This thing is great. But it's not. Let me explain my issues. FIRST OFF this is the 5th or 6th in dash EQ I have ever owned, and this one sounds the best by a wide, WIDE margin. More overall clarity, more overall control, lower noise floor, more signal, etc.The bad news is that I have had multiple quality issues with mine. First off, one of the RCA outputs was dead. It was the left rear if I remember correctly. Anyway, I tore it apart and the RCA jack assembly only had 3 of 4 pins actually soldered in. I fixed it. Hasn't been a problem since. Fast forward a couple weeks later, and no when I adjust the VOLUME pot, I get loud static in my speakers. It acts like an old dirty pot on a vintage receiver. Mine is in the glove box in a non-smoking car, so I don't know what the deal is there. For now I will live with the quality issues for the sound I get from this thing, but I had higher expectations for this unit.

Item came broken as the sub input did not work and the sub dial did not work either.Every other input and dial worked.Sending item back and going to re order in hopes that the 2nd one will work.
